Acupuncture is a scientifically proven approach that utilizes one-time use, stainless-steel, hair-thin needles to stimulate points of lower electrical resistance in the body.
In other words, acupuncture helps the nervous and endocrine systems communicate more effectively.
Disease happens where blockage occurs and acupuncture helps resolve said blockage. The World Health Organization recognizes over 50 diseases that acupuncture treats effectively.
The Balanced Path Wellness Center offers both private and community acupuncture. Private visits are one-to-one and involve more detailed, in-depth consultation and treatment. Community visits are group-style, simpler and shorter duration. These economical visits are great for those with simpler issues, don’t involve private issues that shouldn’t be discussed around others and for those with financial restrictions.
Paul Gerst L.Ac. is also trained in multiple acupuncture styles and although his approach is eclectic, he focuses on The Balance Method and Tung Style. These methods are commonly believed, among Acupuncturists, to be the most effective and Patient-friendly forms.
One to one visits that are more in-depth. These visits are for those with difficult, personal and/or layered health issues that need more care. You can pay per visit or buy packages to increase the value of care. Private treatments may be done lying down. All Private Care visits must be scheduled. The Initial Evaluation and Treatment lasts approximately 90 minutes. Follow-ups are approximately 45-60 minutes.
A group-style acupuncture treatment. The Patient sits up in an upright or reclining chair. For those with simpler issues and/or the need for a more economical approach. Some Patients begin as Private-Care Patients and then switch to Community-Care down the line. Initial Community Visits are approximately 45-60 minutes. Follow-ups are 30-45 minutes.
All New Patients to The Balanced Path Wellness Center must have an Initial Evaluation and Treatment, whether they are Private or Community Care Patients. For Community Patients, this initial visit only increases the visit by 15 minutes, but allows for a private discussion and short evaluation which allows for better direction on your path to healing. After the Initial Community Visit, which must be a scheduled appointment, Community Patients may drop-in during Community Acupuncture hours. It is always best to call ahead at least a day or two in-advance, but feel welcome to drop-in, too.
